The Corporate Governance Index was created to track and support Saudi Arabia's good governance efforts. In conjunction with advisors from Harvard University, Kobirate International Credit Rating, and CG Service Inc., a team from Alfaisal University's Corporate Governance Center and College of Business developed the index. Alfaisal University think it's crucial to create a reliable Corporate Governance Index (CGI) to track and encourage good governance among firms operating in Saudi Arabia. The CGI will strengthen the country's overall corporate governance standards and bring possible financial and investment gains as a result of making governance changes.
